The massive rock known as la Pierre d’Orthaz was left behind by retreating glaciers. L'énorme rocher connu sous le nom de la Pierre d'Orthaz été laissés par les glaciers reculent. It’sa historical bouldering rock, and opposite it was the infamous Snell’s field campsite where the world’s greatest climbers used to camp out. C'est un historique de bloc de roche, et on a en face de la tristement célèbre de Snell terrain de camping, où les plus grands alpinistes utilisé pour camper. Now very polished but still a beautiful and atmospheric sight… Maintenant, très poli, mais toujours une belle vue et de l'atmosphère…
